About Us
Lakeland Electrical Services was founded in 1988 by Les Grimm and Lou Sabin, two experienced electricians who teamed up to build a company on a shared commitment to quality work, strong relationships, and long-term success.

From the beginning, Lakeland fostered a culture rooted in trust, respect, and loyalty. Employees were treated like family, creating an environment where people could build meaningful, lasting careers. That people-first philosophy became a defining part of the company’s identity and remains central to who we are today.
Throughout its history, Lakeland has believed that success is a team effort. The company’s growth has been driven by the dedication of its employees and the strong relationships built with customers, partners, and the communities it serves.
In 2016, Lakeland Electrical Services became part of the Newkirk Electric family. The partnership united two organizations with shared values and a common commitment to integrity, service, and people, while preserving the culture and reputation that made Lakeland successful.
Today, Lakeland continues to be guided by the principles that have defined it for nearly four decades: quality workmanship, strong relationships, a family-oriented culture, and a commitment to the people who make its success possible.
